Mastering the Basics

Before loading up on indicators, it's good to look at the basics of the chart. Here are three concepts you'll naturally pick up while practicing Bitcoin Futures on Bitswipe.

1

Support & Resistance

Prices tend to bounce off the floor (Support) and fall from the ceiling (Resistance). Buying low and selling high is the most fundamental principle.

2

Follow the Trend

Have you heard "The trend is your friend"? If the price is going up, don't bet on it falling. Riding the wave gives you better odds.

3

Candle Wicks

Long wicks on candles are signs of a battle. A long upper wick means someone sold hard, and a long lower wick means someone bought hard.

Common Chart Patterns

Neckline Break

Head & Shoulders (Bearish Reversal)

A head in the middle with two shoulders. It often appears when an uptrend runs out of steam and turns into a downtrend.

Resistance Break

Inverse Head & Shoulders (Bullish Reversal)

An upside-down Head & Shoulders. It's often seen at the bottom when a downtrend ends and turns into an uptrend.

Support Break

Double Top (M Pattern, Bearish Reversal)

Shaped like an 'M'. It hit the high twice but couldn't break through and fell. A signal that a downtrend is starting.

Resistance Break

Double Bottom (W Pattern, Bullish Reversal)

Shaped like a 'W'. It hit the bottom twice and went back up. Considered a strong bullish reversal signal.

Drop Continues

Bear Flag (Bearish Continuation)

After a sharp drop, it moves sideways like a flag. It's likely to gather strength and pour down again.

Rise Continues

Bull Flag (Bullish Continuation)

After a sharp rise, it takes a breather in a flag shape. It's likely to gather energy and shoot up again.

Beginner's Guide

If trading is new to you, it might be overwhelming. Don't worry. Just follow these steps.

1

Start with 1m Candles

1m candles have small volatility, making them perfect for beginners to learn chart flow. Practice patterns with a faster pace.

2

Keep Leverage at 1x

Start without leverage (1x). Focus on reading chart flow. You can increase leverage later when you're confident.

3

Turn on Just One Indicator

Start with Moving Average (MA) only. If the price is above the average, it's an uptrend; if below, it's a downtrend.

4

Play 10 Rounds Casually

Long games can drain your focus. Start with 10 rounds to get a feel for it.

5

Always Check the Analysis

After the game, click 'View Analysis'. You can see where you did well and where you made mistakes. This is the most important learning process.

Bonus Tip

Don't aim for perfect accuracy. Even 60% is excellent. Real traders profit with 50-60% win rates. What matters is cutting losses quickly and letting profits run.

How to Play

  • Read the ChartLook closely at the shape and flow of the past candles.
  • PredictYou can close the position anytime within 30 candles. Will the price go up (Long), down (Short), or stay sideways (Hold)?
  • DecidePress Long, Short, or Hold.
  • Check ResultClick 'Close Position' to secure profits. Position auto-closes after 30 candles.
  • ReviewAfter the game, we analyze your trading patterns.

Using Advanced Features

Want to analyze more professionally? Turn on indicators in the Settings (Gear Icon) at the top right.

Leverage (1x - 100x)

Double-Edged Sword: Profits are amplified, but losses snowball just as fast.

Liquidation: If your loss exceeds your principal, your position is forcibly closed.

In this game, if your loss exceeds your principal, it's immediate Game Over.

Candle Reveal Speed

The default speed is medium. Adjust it to be faster or slower to find your own tempo.

RSI (Relative Strength Index)

An indicator that tells you if the current price is too expensive or too cheap.

Moving Average (MA)

Smooths out jagged price flows to show the trend.

Bollinger Bands

Think of it as the road the price travels on.

Small Tips

Don't just rely on luck; set your own rules.

Trend Following
Don't fight the flow; go with it.
Confirmation
It's often safer to wait for a candle to finish than to guess.
Risk Management
Don't bet everything at once. Opportunities will come again.
Review Mistakes
Just thinking about why you got it wrong improves your skills.

Common Beginner Mistakes

Everyone makes mistakes at first. Here are the most common ones. Know them in advance and avoid them!

1.

Trading Against the Trend

When the price keeps rising, many people think 'Surely it will drop now' and go Short. This is gambling. Remember 'The trend is your friend'. Riding the trend gives better odds.

2.

Using Excessive Leverage

100x leverage is thrilling, but just 1% against you means Liquidation. Beginners should start with 1x-5x. You can increase it later when your skills improve.

3.

Focusing on One Candle Only

Making decisions based on just the last candle often fails. Look at at least 10 candles to understand the overall flow. Don't just look at the tree; see the forest.

4.

Relying Only on Indicators

RSI showing overbought doesn't mean it will definitely drop. Indicators are references, not absolute rules. You need to consider candle shapes, trends, support/resistance together.

5.

Emotional Decisions

'Revenge trading'—trying to recover from one loss by betting big in the next trade—is a no-go. Same in the game. Accept mistakes and wait for the next opportunity.

6.

Using Hold Too Often

When unsure, you can press Hold, but using it too much won't improve your skills. It's okay to be wrong; be bold and try Long or Short. Learning from mistakes is the fastest way to improve.

Understanding Game Statistics

After the game, various metrics are shown. Here's what they mean and how to interpret them.

Win Rate

Percentage of correct trades out of total trades. Above 60% is excellent, above 50% is above average. Below 40% means you should revise your strategy.

Long/Short Accuracy

Shows which prediction (Long or Short) you're better at. If one is notably lower, study patterns for that direction more.

Profit Factor

Average Profit / Average Loss. Above 1.0 is profit, below is loss. Above 2.0 is very good. You can make money even with a low win rate if your profit factor is high.

Avg Profit

Average profit (or loss) per trade. If it's positive, that's a good sign; if negative, you need to change your strategy.

Best Trade

The highest profit from a single trade. This appears when you used leverage well or caught a big trend. Luck matters, but skill is needed too.

Total Return

Overall return from start to finish. +100% means your assets doubled. Negative means you lost principal. The higher the leverage, the more extreme this value becomes.

Indicator Analysis Guide

After the game, click 'View Analysis' to see your trading patterns by indicator (RSI, MA, BB). How should you interpret this data?

RSI

Oversold Zone (RSI < 30)

Theoretically, it's 'oversold, time to bounce'. If you went Long a lot here, you have a counter-trend tendency. High win rate means you're good at it; low means you might be ignoring the trend.

Neutral Zone (RSI 30-70)

The most common zone. Most trades happen here. Your win rate here represents your basic skill. Long/Short ratio shows if you're trend-following or counter-trend.

Overbought Zone (RSI > 70)

Theoretically, it's 'overbought, time to correct'. If you went Short a lot here, you have a counter-trend tendency. But in strong trends, overbought can last long—be careful.

MA

Uptrend

Price is above MA and MA is sloping upward. Going Long here is 'trend-following'. High win rate means you ride trends well. Many Shorts means you're counter-trend trading.

Downtrend

Price is below MA and MA is sloping downward. Going Short here is 'trend-following'. Many Longs means you're trying to catch the bottom (counter-trend).

Bollinger

Upper Band Touch

Price is far from average (high). Theoretically tends to revert to mean, so it's a Short timing. If you went Short a lot here, you have a 'mean reversion' tendency.

Lower Band Touch

Price is far from average (low). May revert to mean, so it's a Long timing. If you went Long a lot here, you have a 'mean reversion' tendency.

How to Use Analysis Results

It's important to understand if your style is 'trend-following' or 'counter-trend'. If trend-following works better, you'll do well in strong trends. If counter-trend works, you'll do well in ranging markets. Play to your strengths and work on weaknesses!

Interpretation Tip

Don't obsess over win rate. Even with 40% accuracy, you can profit if your profit factor is 3:1. Conversely, even with 70% accuracy, one big loss without cutting it can wipe everything out. Balance is key.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. Can I make real money?

No. Bitswipe is 100% a Bitcoin Game simulation. No real money is involved, and profits in the game are virtual. It's purely a tool for Bitcoin Virtual Investment practice and fun.

Q2. Will it help with real trading?

Yes, it helps develop your ability to read charts and make quick decisions. However, real trading has variables that don't exist in the game, like psychological pressure, fees, and slippage. So Bitswipe can't replace real trading completely.

Q3. Is it more fun with high leverage?

It's a double-edged sword! Profits are amplified but so are losses, and your chance of Liquidation (Game Over) increases. We recommend starting with low leverage (1x-5x).

Q4. Is the candle data real Bitcoin data?

Yes, we use actual historical Bitcoin price data. When and which segment appears is random, so you'll have a new experience each time.

Q5. Do I have to use indicators?

Not required. You can enjoy the game just by looking at the candle shapes. But learning indicators like RSI, Moving Average, and Bollinger Bands will help a lot in real trading.

Q6. Can I compete with friends?

Absolutely! After the game, you get a shareable link. Send it to friends and challenge them: 'Can you beat this score?'
